HDD engineering design, supporting calculations and drill plan documentation were developed to facilitate the installation of two communications conduits beneath both Gold Coast–Springbrook Road and Mudgeeraba Creek. The proposed alignment required careful consideration of complex ground conditions, including alluvial deposits, gravel, sedimentary rock and metamorphic rock, to develop a safe and constructable drilling solution.
