Relocation of an existing water pipeline in Brisbane’s inner west was required as part of early works for the Gresham Street Bridge Replacement project. Future-Proof Solutions’ design engineers were engaged to assist with the services relocation project, which included a 450mm enveloper and a 180mm water product pipe.
Although the 180m HDD crossing under Enoggera Creek was not without its challenges – drilling through basaltic rock in a built-up suburban environment – the project was successfully completed on time.
FPS delivered detailed engineering products for the project, including HDD design, installation and integrity calculation, hydrofracture analysis and drilling fluid plan, and provided sound trenchless advice and guidance to the installation team before and during the project.
