Future-Proof Solutions were engaged on the Yarwun RMA Groundwater Depressurisation South HDD Drainage project in Gladstone, Queensland. The objective of this project was to design and construct 2 x perforated HDPE pipelines via HDD, to facilitate the dewatering of areas of the Rio Tinto Yarwun Alumina Refinery resource management area. While ground conditions and logistics on the busy site provided challenges, the two bores were successfully installed in February 2021, enabling the dewatering process to commence.

The Future-Proof Solutions trenchless engineering team provided our full suite of for-construction documents, including HDD profiles and alignments, installation and integrity calculations, hydrofracture analysis, drilling fluid plan, execution summary, and site layouts. Projects personnel also provided extensive onsite project support services, including drilling fluid sampling and laboratory testing, environmental sampling, records management, and HSEQ and administrative support to facilitate and streamline the construction process.
